The Astros are facing elimination in their series against the White Sox after Houston lost 6-3 last night.
The Yankees are looking to move on when they take on the Red Sox after the Bronx Bombers took a decisive 9-0 win last night.
And the Padres have a chance to advance later tonight when they host the Cubs at 7. Former Mariner first baseman Ty France had a pair of hits and a run scored for San Diego in last night’s 8-0 win.

Meanwhile, we just saw a big upset in the WNBA playoffs.
The New York Liberty beat the Minnesota Lynx 87-71 last night to complete a two-game sweep of the No. 1 overall seed.
A major series is also entering a decisive Game 3. Caitlin Clark scored 27 points and dished out 15 assists to lead the Indiana Fever over the Las Vegas Aces 99-89.
The Fever will have a chance to oust the defending champs in Vegas tomorrow night.
Tonight, the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries each have a chance to move on in Game 2 of their respective series.

The NHL season kicked off with a bang last night.
The Canucks edged the Oilers 6-5 in an overtime thriller to open their season.
The defending Stanley Cup champion Hurricanes fell to the Panthers 1-0 in another overtime match.
The Kraken are still gearing up to start their season tomorrow night when they play the Flames in Calgary.

A standout player on Western’s women’s soccer team is getting nationwide attention.
Freshman forward Madeline Mays has been named the D-II National Player of the Week for last week’s performance.
The Oak Harbor native scored five of the team’s six goals during a pair of wins over Montana State Billings and 23rd nationally-ranked Seattle Pacific. She recorded the game-winning goal in both games, including a hat trick against Billings.
Western returned to the national rankings after the pair of wins, now coming in at No. 17 in the coach’s poll.
They’re back on the road this week with a match at Western Oregon tomorrow afternoon before heading to Lacey to face Saint Martin’s on Saturday.
