BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Bellingham residents are being asked to give their thoughts on how to speed up public transit.

Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) recently released a draft of its long-term plan to make Go Line buses faster and more reliable.

WTA’s Go Lines currently offer service every 15 minutes on weekdays along four major corridors in Bellingham.

The service connects downtown to Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College and Bellis Fair Mall through several residential neighborhoods.

The draft plan outlines potential upgrades that would help increase the routes’ frequency to every 10 minutes.

WTA is accepting public comment on its proposal ahead of consideration from the Bellingham City Council and WTA Board of Directors next month.
