BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Be aware of some lane closures this week on I-5.

WSDOT is closing the left lane of northbound I-5 in Bellingham north of Lakeway Drive for repairs Wednesday night.

Crews will be replacing Jersey barrier along the road during the closure scheduled from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day. Another closure further south will impact drivers heading towards Seattle.

WSDOT adds a scheduled closure earlier in the day on Wednesday will close the left lane of southbound I-5 beyond Mount Vernon.

The 2-mile closure will allow crews to conduct a road survey in the median between Starbird Road and Conway.

That lane will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
