WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Scammers are continuing their harassment campaign against Whatcom County residents.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) says that they’re investigating another round of scam callers posing as law enforcement.

WCSO says that the scammers have threatened people with jail time or jury duty if they don’t comply with their demands. As a reminder, no one from the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office will ever call to demand payments or threaten to arrest you.

If you get a call from a suspected scammer, the Sheriff’s Office says to hang up and contact the agency they claim to be representing.
