BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Be prepared for rugged weather in the forecast over the next few days.
The National Weather Service in Seattle says a pair of weather systems are moving into western Washington this week.
The weaker one will arrive on Wednesday with light rain and breezy winds that could reach 35 mph.
The stronger system will bring heavier rain from Thursday night into Friday, which could cause some localized flooding in areas with poor drainage as well as in creeks and streams.
Wind gusts could also reach up to 45 mph and are expected to remain breezy over the weekend.
Those winds could cause minor power outages and damage to trees.
