BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The City of Bellingham is continuing their efforts to track down the property owner of the encampment behind Walmart.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that the owner of the property, Li-Ching Fang, lives in Taiwan.

Court documents state that city officials have been in touch with one of Fang’s family members, who claims that Fang cannot communicate in English. The family member, only identified in court documents by his first name, offered to communicate on Fang’s behalf in 2022.

An international service company requested more details about Fang in order to potentially serve her with lawsuit paperwork in person. However, the family member hasn’t taken any actions to fix the issues within the encampment or provide any of Fang’s information.
