BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Two Bellingham teens were arrested in connection to several tire-slashings around the city.

Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy says that officers were initially called to investigate an attempted burglary at a home near Cornwall Park on the morning of Wednesday, March 4.

The victim told investigators that their surveillance camera alerted them to the suspects breaking a garage window and slashing all the tires on their vehicles. About an hour later, another victim reported multiple cars had their tires slashed near Squalicum High School.

Witnesses in both neighborhoods offered the same description of the suspects and their vehicle.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Deputies later pulled over the teens on Britton Road and took them into custody after establishing probable cause.

In total, the two men are suspected of causing over $15,000 worth of damage.
