BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – If you’re heading south to Bellingham on I-5 on Thursday, you’ll want to plan some extra time.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says it will have two separate lane closures in place to do work on signs.

From 4 a.m. to 11 a.m., the right lane of southbound I-5 will close near Bakerview Road (between MP 258 and 257).

Then, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the left lane of southbound I-5 will close south of West Smith Road (MP 261).

Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays and keep the crew safe by slowing down and driving without distractions.
