OLYMPIA, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The state Department of Health (DOH) is warning residents over a new scam involving its phone number.

The DOH says scammers are using its former vaccine hotline number to try to collect personal information, including bank account numbers.

The department has switched to a new number for vaccine information and help, which is listed on its website. Do not call 833-VAX-HELP (833-829-4357).

For vaccine information and assistance, use the following number instead: 1-866-397-0337.

The DOH says it will never ask for your banking information.
