BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputies and a K-9 were recently involved in a drug bust in Bellingham.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies contacted a suspicious vehicle on the 4000 block of Eliza Avenue on Tuesday, Sep. 16. The two occupants in the vehicle provided inconsistent information when talking to the deputies.

A drug K-9 detected narcotics inside the vehicle and deputies obtained a search warrant. 10 kilograms of cocaine, a loaded firearm and cash were located inside the vehicle and obtained by the deputies.

The Sheriff’s Office notes that the cocaine was packaged with “an image of the Marvel movie character Thor.”

The investigation is ongoing.
