BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new report ranks a local high school as among the best in the state.

U.S. News and World Report used data from the U.S. Department of Education to weigh six key indicators of school quality for the rankings.

Sehome High School placed 24th out of over 300 Washington high schools ranked for the list.

Sehome received high scores in college curriculum and state assessment scores but was hurt by its relatively lower graduation rate.

Bellingham and Squalicum High Schools ranked 48th and 78th, respectively, to round out Whatcom County schools in the top 100.
