SEATTLE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Seattle television station will not be airing the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live! amid backlash from the community.

Sinclair Broadcast Group made the announcement Monday via social media that they will not air the return of the talk show at their ABC-affiliated stations, including Seattle’s KOMO.

The group added the programming will be replaced with news programming for the time being.

Kimmel’s show was preemptively pulled from the air after FCC chair Brendan Carr took offense to remarks Kimmel made last week in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder and the arrest of his supposed killer.

Kimmel’s remarks were construed to be disparaging against MAGA leaders.

The Seattle Times reported over the weekend that at least 100 people were outside the Seattle newsroom to protest the show being taken off the air.

Sinclair released a statement late last week demanding an apology from Kimmel as well as a donation to Turning Point USA before their affiliates would air Kimmel’s show.
