BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Let’s cut to the chase, shall we. Halloween is here and there are a bunch of fun events around Whatcom County this weekend to celebrate spooky season. We have it all for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

For the last 20 years, the Mount Baker Theatre has hosted a Halloween screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of that tradition, the theatre will welcome attendees for a night of unforgettable fun and wild entertainment.

Sing and dance along to classics like “Sweet Transvestite,” “Dammit Janet,” and “Time Warp,” participate in callbacks and toast-throwing, and honor the legacy of the late, great Tim Curry on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show starts at 7:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for a spot to pre-funk before the show, you are in luck. Kulshan Trackside is hosting a Halloween Party on Bellingham’s Waterfront on Saturday evening.

The event is free and open to all-ages and will feature hot drinks, food specials, dance performances, a zombie takeover, witches and more.

The Halloween Party runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Plenty of Trick-or-Treat events are planned across Whatcom County this weekend.

The Downtown Bellingham Partnership is hosting a Trick-or-Treat at 100+ businesses across downtown on Friday, Oct.30.  That’s a whole lot of candy, folks.

Downtown Trick-or-Treat runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If you are in Fairhaven this weekend, look sharp.

Fearhaven–Brick or Treat runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Ghosts, goblins, superheroes and princesses will all descend on the iconic village for an afternoon of spooky fun, sweet treats and community spirit.

Farther north in Ferndale, the Chamber of Commerce is hosting Ferndale Trick-or-Treat at Pioneer Park from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Costumed kids can collect candy and play games like Cake Walk, Ring Toss, Guessing Game, Corn Hole and more.

Our featured live show this week is at the Wild Buffalo on Friday night.

BALTHVS will bring their brand of psychedelic rock to the City of Subdued Excitement for a night to remember. The Colombian band is a global touring force and has performed at festivals like SXSW, Lollapalooza, ACL, Outside Lands and the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Opening for BALTHVS is Midpak. The show starts at 8 p.m. For tickets, go to wildbufflo.net.
