BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another downtown Bellingham business is closing its doors for good.
Rock and Rye Oyster House announced on social media that it will be closing at a to-be-determined date in early autumn.
The restaurant has been operating out of the Herald Building on N State Street for the past 12 years.
It offers seafood, cocktails, beer, wine and cider, with most of the products sourced locally.
Rock and Rye is offering discounted oysters for its 12th anniversary starting Thursday, June 18, and lasting through June 25.
It follows the sudden closure last month of Starla’s Pizza, which was also housed in the Herald Building. Other businesses have shuttered in the downtown core recently as Mayor Kim Lund issued an executive order aimed at boosting and incentivizing commerce on Monday, June 15.
