BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Roadwork along Squalicum Parkway will impact access to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center and other clinics starting next week.

Crews will begin building sidewalks, bike lanes, crosswalks and lighting this Monday, June 2 between Ellis Street and Birchwood Avenue. Construction is expected to last through October of this year.

One lane will stay open, but flaggers will direct traffic daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Street parking will not be available during construction, and patients are advised to allow extra time to get to their destinations.

Parking is available in the PeaceHealth Central and North garages.

The work is being done in addition to ongoing construction at the Peter Paulsen Pavilion on the hospital’s campus.
