Recall of peanut butter products expands to Washington state

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A massive peanut butter recall has expanded into Washington.

The FDA says that they issued their initial recall for the impacted products last April.

It was updated last week to a Class 2 recall, meaning that adverse health effects could occur if the tainted products are consumed.

The peanut butter in question was sold under various brand names, including Flavor Fresh Peanut Butter, Katy’s Kitchen Smooth Peanut Butter and House Recipe Creamy Peanut Butter.

They also include some peanut butter products mixed with grape or strawberry jelly.

The updated recall impacts 40 states, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California.
