BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The City of Bellingham has appointed the members of its first Landlord and Tenant Advisory Work Group.

The 13-member panel includes renters, landlords, property managers and community members with housing-related experience.

The group will advise the city on possible improvements to rental housing programs, policies and practices.

City officials say more than half of Bellingham residents rent their homes, and the work group is intended to bring together a variety of perspectives on rental housing issues.

Members are scheduled to begin meeting Sept. 15 at City Hall and are expected to develop recommendations through the end of 2027.

The group’s work will conclude with a final report and recommendations to the mayor and city council.
