BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Bellingham coffee shop is shutting its doors later this month.

In a social media post, Narrative Coffee announced the closure of their Bellingham location. On Monday, Feb. 3, the cafe said that Feb. 22 will be their last day of service, three years after opening the Bellingham location. The post cited problems with struggling to stay open as a small neighborhood business in the area.

“Industry wide, the last handful of years have been tough times for businesses like ours. Our cafe in Bellingham is a small, neighborhood spot—which we love—but simply put it has not been able to garner enough support to make keeping the doors open up north sustainable for us,” Narrative said in the announcement on Instagram.

The business added that they hope to make the last few weeks memorable for the staff and customers who frequent the establishment. According to the Instagram post, their Everett location is not closing down and has plans for the future.
