DEMING, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Here’s your chance to offer input on the next leader of the Mount Baker School District.

The district is hosting a series of public forums this week with the three final candidates for its next superintendent.

The first one is being held Tuesday with Tim LaGrange, the current superintendent of the Kittitas School District, taking the stage.

Wednesday will feature Jessica Schenck, a former principal and current assistant superintendent with the Othello School District.

The interviews wrap up on Thursday with Jeffrey Hardesty, who has been the superintendent with the Oroville School District since 2016.

Each forum takes place from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. in the Mount Baker District Office on the Deming Campus or via Zoom for those who can’t attend in-person. Community members can offer feedback through the district’s website or by using a QR code that will be posted at the forums.

The district will announce its final selection at a board meeting on Friday, March 14. The new superintendent will officially take over on July 1.
