BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Whatcom County medical center has been hit with a lawsuit over a recent cyberattack.

The class action suit, filed on behalf of two Whatcom County men, alleges that Mount Baker Imaging and Northwest Radiologists didn’t do enough to inform patients about the attack.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that Mount Baker Imaging’s issues with their computer network occurred in late January.

Court documents state that patients impacted by the disruptions still haven’t been notified about whether their personal data was compromised by cybercriminals.

They accuse the two facilities of minimizing the cyber attack’s impact and preventing further harm to patients’ sensitive data.

On their website, Mount Baker Imaging and Northwest Radiologists claim that none of the compromised information was used maliciously.
