MAPLE FALLS, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man accused of shooting at teens in Maple Falls will spend a significant amount of time in jail.

In June, a jury found 38-year-old Matthew Bentley guilty of assault with a deadly weapon, malicious mischief, and illegal firearm possession.

All of those charges stem from an incident in Oct. 2023, where Bentley shot at two teens who caught him slashing tires on their property.

Bentley will spend the next 22 and a half years in prison and will be under supervision for six years once he’s released.
