LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The much-anticipated Lynden Homestead lawsuit has gone to trial without a jury.
The Lynden Tribune reports the plaintiffs’ attorneys in the case withdrew their request for a jury trial on Wednesday, May 1.
That means arguments in the case will be go directly to the judge for summary judgement. The lawsuit will tackle a number of issues including fees paid by homeowners at Homestead, what those fees are used for, development of common spaces and manager compensation.
The lawsuit was filed back in 2020 when homeowner fees were raised from $36 a month to $93.
The trial kicked off on Thursday, May 2 and is expected to last a few weeks.
