LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A local chocolatier just brought home some major hardware from an international competition.

Fresco Chocolate in Lynden won multiple awards at the Academy of Chocolate Awards in London on March 20.

The shop won Gold, Silver and four Bronze Awards for their small-batch confections. The Gold went to the Ghana 70% Dark Roast while the Madagascar 74% Light Roast brought home the Silver.

“These awards are especially meaningful to us because they recognize the subtle but important work we do with roasting and conching to bring out the natural flavors of each origin,” said Rob Anderson, co-founder of Fresco Chocolate. “We’re honored to be included among some of the best chocolate makers in the world.”

Fresco Chocolate makes chocolate bars using minimal ingredients. They use only cocoa beans, cane sugar and cocoa butter, which allows the true flavors of the beans to shine.
