NFL News

Week 6 of the NFL season is wrapping up in the Bay Area tonight.

The Seahawks’ rival 49ers are hosting the Commanders on Monday Night Football as the Niners look to improve to 6-0. Coverage begins at 4:00 and kickoff is at 5:20 on KPUG.

It comes as ESPN reports Eagles starting quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the season after doctors discovered multiple blood clots in his lungs.

In other injury news, the Rams announced today that star receiver Davantae Adams will miss six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury.

ESPN reports Seahawks backup tight end Elijah Arroyo will likely go on the injured reserve with a shoulder injury he suffered in last week’s loss to the Broncos.

The Seahawks are back on Sunday night when they host the Kansas City Chiefs in a primetime showdown.

Huskies/Cougs News

It was a mixed weekend for college football teams across the state.

The Huskies beat Purdue 38-26 on Friday to earn their first Big Ten win of the season and snap their three game skid.

Junior Elijah Brown threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns in his first start for the Huskies while filling in for Demond Williams Jr., who sat out with a rib injury. Tre Cooley added 113 yards rushing on just eight carries to lead a formidable ground attack for UW.

The Huskies have the next week off before heading to Nebraska for a Halloween night matchup against the Cornhuskers.

Meanwhile, the Cougs fell to Oregon State in a 48-30 shootout, as Wazzu dropped their fourth straight and remain winless in Pac-12 play. It’s not getting any easier, as the Cougs are set to host No. 21 Boise State this Saturday.

Kraken News

The Kraken couldn’t end their road trip on a high note.

They fell to the Florida Panthers 8-3 on Saturday to snap their four-game points streak. Sam Bennet scored his first three goals of the season in the win for Florida, as they became the first team in NHL history to have three natural hat tricks in a row.

The Kraken return home having won three out of five games over their road trip, with one overtime loss.

They’re back tomorrow night to kick off a four-game stand at Climate Pledge against the Detroit Red Wings. Coverage begins at 6:00 and puck drops at 6:40 on KPUG.

The World Series could be set after tonight.
