LUMMI ISLAND, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Lummi Island’s full-service ferry is returning to the waters this weekend but the changeover may impact your travel plans.

Whatcom County Public Works says their passenger-only ferry will run through midnight on Friday, June 14 ending at Gooseberry Point.

The Whatcom Chief is scheduled to resume full service on Saturday, June 15 at 4 p.m.

All ferry service will be halted for most of Saturday from midnight until 4 p.m. for the changeover.

Any vehicles in general parking along the queue road to each terminal and in the ferry gangway need to be moved by the end of the day on Friday.

Vehicles in the accessible spots on the southeast side of Gooseberry Point’s queue have until the end of Sunday to be moved.

Any vehicles not moved in time will be towed.

Go to the Whatcom County website for more information on parking in the area.
