WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Residents from Whatcom and Skagit counties will soon have a chance to hear from our local leaders in Olympia.

Several state lawmakers are hosting a pair of town halls later this month.

42nd District Reps. Joe Timmons and Alicia Rule and state Senator Sharon Shewmake will all be at Ferndale High School on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Farther south, 40th District Reps. Debra Lekanoff and Alex Ramel and state Senator Liz Lovelett will be at the Mount Vernon Commons that same day.

They’ll be giving mid-session updates from Olympia, previewing what’s to come and answering questions from their constituents.

Both town halls start at 11 a.m.

The cutoffs for policy and fiscal committee bills have both passed as we near the midway point of the state’s 2026 legislative session.
