BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Medical providers are putting out a call for blood donors in our region.

Bloodsworks Northwest says it’s in urgent need of donors as its blood supply has taken a big hit during spring break.

It’s asking the community to help out during a pair of upcoming blood drives next week.

There are nearly 70 open appointments for a mobile drive at Western Washington University.

It takes place at the Viking Union on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PeaceHealth is hosting another mobile drive the next day, with seven appointments currently open.

That takes place at St. Luke’s Health Education Center next Wednesday with appointments available from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Bloodworks’ Bellingham Center near Bellis Fair Mall remains open Tuesdays through Saturdays.
