WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – We have a little bit of everything for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.  Outdoor and indoor activities, dancing, birding and live music are all on the docket.  Get out there and enjoy your weekend in Whatcom County.

Looking for something fun to do to stay active in the new year?  Look no further than the West Coast Fight Club in Bellingham (110 W. Stuart Rd.)

Register through the City of Bellingham Parks Department for one of three Muay Thai Kickboxing Workshops though March 21.  Learn basic footwork, punching, kicking and more.  You don’t need to buy any gear, just bring some water and wear athletic clothes.

If you are looking for something less intense but still want to stay active, head down to Zuanich Point Park for Sunset Silent Disco.  Strap on some headphones and dance to a diverse playlist of music hits.

Silent Disco is open to everyone. Free parking is available right next to the park.  It runs every Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Donations are accepted but other than that just show up at the “Safe Return” fisher statue and get ready to shake your booty.

How does a Sunday stroll at Semiahmoo sound?  Head up to Semiahmoo Park in Blaine (9261 Semiahmoo Parkway) on Sunday, Jan. 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to explore the birdlife of the Pacific Northwest with a knowledgeable naturalist.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.  Don’t forget to check out all the other bird walks available at birdbellingham.org.

If you are looking to take in some live music for a good cause this weekend, you are in luck.  The 2026 Hindsight Music Festival is on Saturday, Jan. 10 from noon to 9 p.m.  Twenty bands will play originals and covers with proceeds benefiting the Mr. Peabody Scholarship for the Bellinghome School of Music.

There will be raffles and silent auctions for gift certificates and musical gear like drum kits, guitars, and amps donated by locals and even some gear from Death Cab For Cutie. There will also be a beer garden, food truck and coffee truck.

Hindsight Music Festival is at the old MOJO Music location in Bellingham (2626 Meridian St.) and admission is just $5.  For all the details, go to Bellinghome School of Music’s Facebook page.

Our featured live show this week, once again, at Shakedown on State St.

Bellingham’s Sour Fuzz will rock the stage with their brand of poppy alt rock on Saturday night. Fans of Hüsker Dü, Local H and Nirvana don’t want to miss this one.

Opening up for Sour Fuzz are Brand New Companion (Boise), Dead Energy (Seattle), Tony Horses and YDC (Seattle). That’s five bands for the low price of $10. For tickets, go to shakedownbellingham.com.
