WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Fourth of July is here, and the weather looks spectacular for the holiday weekend. We have fireworks displays, baseball games, fun festivals and great live music for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.

Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation is hosting WECU’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration.

It all kicks off on Friday, July 4 at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Blaine Senior Center. Then from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. they are hosting a street fair, a parade and car show, a kid’s zone, a beer garden with live music, and, of course, the fireworks display at 10:30 p.m.

It is a free event. For all the details, go to the Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation website.

Across the bay, the Semiahmoo Resort is hosting a full weekend of events.

Semiahmoo Independence Weekend kicks off Friday with a Paint and Sip event at 4 p.m., a Summer BBQ with live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and great views of the fireworks display over the bay.

Then on Saturday, July 5, a Tidepool Exploration starts at 11 a.m., followed by an Artisan Market with live music and then another Semiahmoo Sips event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Seaview Café.

For tickets to all the events, go to semiahmoo.com.

Bellingham’s fireworks display is always spectacular too. This year’s fireworks show begins at 10:30 p.m. and will be visible from a few different areas around the bay.

You can find all the details and recommendations for where to watch the sky light up over Bellingham Bay here.

If you are looking for something fun for the whole family, head down to the Fairhaven Village Green on Saturday for the Fairhaven Chicken Fest 2025.

There will be live music, chicken-themed vendors, carnival games and more from noon to 4 p.m. Plus, you don’t want to miss the Chicken Costume Contest and the Chicken-Rooster Crowing Contest.

Head down early to grab your spot on the green. Go to enjoyfairhaven.com for all the details.

What better was is there to celebrate the Fourth of July than at a baseball game?

The Bellingham Bells are hosting the Port Angeles Lefties this weekend for a three-game series at Joe Martin Field. The Bells have already clinched a playoff spot, but they are looking to rebound after a series loss to Kelowna.

First pitch for Friday’s game is at 4:05 p.m. For tickets, go the bellinghambells.com.

Our featured live show this week is at the Mount Baker Theatre.

The Booth Brothers will bring their brand of rootsy gospel to the stage along with Greater Vision and Tribute Quartet on Saturday evening.

The Booth Brothers have been blending rich harmonies with humor and worship for decades and now is your chance to watch them do it live.

The show starts at 5 p.m. Go to mountbakertheatre.com for tickets.
