Invasive Species Awareness Week begins in Washington

BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Learn how to stop the spread this week with an informational event on invasive species.

Feb. 23 marks the beginning of Invasive Species Awareness Week throughout the country and in Washington. The week is designed to shine a light on flora and fauna that can negatively impact the environment they start to call home.

In Washington, several free webinars are hosted to educate people about water protection against aquatic invasive species as well as weeds and insects this week.

The Washington Invasive Species Council has information about the webinars and ways to stop the spread of invasive species on their website.
