Former site of ‘Oculis Lodge’ up for auction

GLACIER, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The site of an infamous Glacier glamping project is off to the auction block.

Auction company Crexi will be taking bids for the former Oculis Lodge site starting on June 9.

My Bellingham Now previously reported that the 2-acre, mono-dome property off of Mt Baker Hwy was listed on Redfin for $725,000 in March.

That’s in stark contrast to its $75,000 starting bid listed on Crexi.

Oculis was initially proposed as an immersive nature experience near the North Cascades, featuring dozens of igloo-shaped domes with skylights and other amenities. But the property only comes with one of the promised domes, a pre-approved septic system and some exterior features.

Any interested bidders must pay a $10,000 participation deposit before making any offers.

Open houses for the former Oculis site are also being offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week.
