BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – It looks like we are in for some much-needed wet weather this weekend. Don’t let that put a damper on your plans. We have a bunch of fun events for you in this week’s Lifestyle Lookout.
It’s the final weekend of the Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden. Live music, a stock show, exotic animals, a carnival, food, libations and more are all on the docket on Friday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 22.
Brantley Gilbert will take the stage on Friday night and the rock tribute combo of Helle’s Belles and Crush: The Bon Jovi Experience will perform on Saturday. Tickets are still available for both shows.
If you are looking for some fun adult time in Ferndale this weekend, you are in luck. Downtown Distilled is on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at a handful of businesses along Main Street and beyond.
Attendees will check in at Centennial Riverwalk Park and take their drink tickets to taste spirits, cider and wine. There will also be food available and live music scattered throughout the event.
If you haven’t had the chance to experience Paranormal Cirque yet, now is your chance. Acrobats, illusionists, freaks and mysterious creatures will all perform beneath the black and red big top Clown Castle tent.
This adult-oriented circus is not for the faint of heart. Adults are welcome, but children 13 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult. No one under 13 will be permitted.
Paranormal Cirque runs Friday through Monday, Aug. 24 with six shows on the schedule.
This weekend, SeaFeast is celebrating their 10th anniversary in Bellingham. To mark the occasion, Cordata Gallery is hosting Creative Currents, an exhibit featuring PNW artists exploring themes celebrating the bounty of the Salish Sea.

Creative Currents opens on Saturday with a reception from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and then runs through October 24.
Our featured live show this week is a metal show at Shakedown on Friday night.
Adamantis will bring their brand of epic power metal to the City of Subdued Excitement for a night of swords, riffs, headbanging and good old-fashioned heavy metal rock and roll.
Opening for Adamantis are Tower Hill and Telomyras. For tickets, go the shakedownbellingham.com.
