City of Ferndale announces 2026 Summer of Fun

FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The 2026 Summer of Fun is coming to Whatcom County’s second largest city.

On Wednesday, June 3, the City of Ferndale announced a full slate of events including free recreational programs, family activities and community events running all summer long.

It kicks off on Friday, June 12 with Community Game Night at Pioneer Pavilion followed by the first Flicks in the Park featuring Zootopia 2.

Also on the schedule are free workshops, more game nights, movies, and crafting meetups. Other major events include Downtime Summer Kickoff, Jam on the River, Ferndale Block Party, Ferndale PRIDE and the Old Settlers Picnic.

“While some of our programming is evolving, our goal remains the same,” Ferndale Communication Officer Megan Juenemann said. “Creating opportunities for community connection, recreation, and fun. We’re excited about this year’s Summer of Fun and the opportunity to showcase the many free events happening throughout Ferndale.”

Summer of Fun runs through Sept. 5.
