BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The City of Bellingham is rolling out a new way to help you stay ahead of the game on construction delays.

The city says it’s introducing an interactive map on its website that details what projects are going on around town.

Construction is starting to pick up with the arrival of spring in everywhere from neighborhood streets to high-traffic corridors. Nighttime paving is expected to begin soon on the Guide between Bakerview and Kellogg roads.

Meanwhile, construction recently began for the new What-Comm dispatch center near the intersection of James Street and Alabama.

It’s expected to be finished by fall 2027.

And James Street will also see single-lane closures between Telegraph Road and Gooding Avenue starting next week.

You can find out more about the city’s upcoming projects on its website here.
