WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for nefarious activities during this week’s floods.

They say they’re proactively patrolling flood-hit regions in an effort to deter looters and other illegal activities.

Meanwhile, Everson Police are encouraging flood victims to take any steps necessary to secure their property once they’re able to safely return.

Anyone who witnesses suspicious behavior in flood-ravaged areas is asked to call 911.
