BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Bellingham man is in custody after leading deputies on a chase that started right here at the Cascade Radio Group.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded after a man was found slumped over the driver’s seat of his car with drug paraphernalia in the parking lot of our building early Friday morning, March 8.  He awoke to see deputies at his window and immediately drove away down Yew Street Road. After a brief chase, deputies completed a PIT maneuver and the man crashed into a ditch.

He was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center for back pain, but was arrested and booked into the Whatcom County jail on Tuesday.

The suspect, 45-year-old Lance Perrine, faces five charges from the incident, including driving without a license and DUI.
