The World Cup final is set.
Argentina staged yet another epic comeback to beat England 2-1 in Atlanta this afternoon.
The defending World Cup champs trailed with five minutes remaining in regular time before Enzo Fernandez tied it and Lautaro Martinez went on to score the winner on a header just two minutes into injury time.
Argentina will now play Spain in the final on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The American League prevailed in the All-Star Game last night.
The AL pitchers combined to deliver a 3-hit shutout gem in Philly against the National League. It was the first All-Star shutout since 2013.
The Yankees’ Cody Bellinger took home MVP thanks to a two-run single he hit in the first inning. Seattle’s Randy Arozarena went 1-2 at the plate with a single in the ninth inning.
Baseball’s back tomorrow when the Phillies host the Mets to kick off the second half of the season.
The Mariners are back in play Friday for the start of a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants at T-Mobile Park.

Speaking of shutouts, the Bells threw one themselves last night at Joe Martin Field.
Seddrick Henderson started them off with six strikeouts across three perfect innings and the rest of Bellingham’s bullpen combined to give up just a single hit in their 6-0 win over the Cascade Collegiate League Showcase Team.
Matt Churchill led the attack at the plate with a home run as the Bells put their plate discipline on display with seven walks to their five hits.
They continue their homestand against non-league opponents tonight when they host the Dub Sea Fish Sticks at 6:35.

The Storm’s rough season took another hit in the Windy City this morning.
They fell to the Chicago Storm 95-90 for their third straight loss.
Kent-native and Gonzaga alum Courtney Vandersloot scored 8 points and dished out 6 assists in the win for Chicago. She ranks second on the all-time WNBA leaderboard for assists as she continues her 16th season in the league.
Meanwhile, Storm rookie Flau’jae Johnson led the team with 25 points

A former Seahawks quarterback will not face charges for an alleged assault.
ESPN reports that Geno Smith is no longer being investigated for an incident in which a woman accused him of battery last month.
A woman claiming to be Smith’s ex-girlfriend called 911 on June 21, telling officers that she was assaulted by him. No one was arrested or taken into custody at the scene.
A former three-year starter in Seattle, Smith was sent from the Raiders to the Jets in a March trade and immediately named starter. Neither him nor the Jets have publicly responded to the allegations.

The fight to bring the Sonics back continues.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver confirmed at a press conference yesterday that several groups are interested in buying an expansion team in Seattle, even though only one has gone public with its bid. He added that he still believes the league will make a decision regarding expansion by the end of 2026.
It comes after the NBA Board of Governors voted in March to explore expansion exclusively in Seattle and Las Vegas, with a target to bring the new teams in by 2028 if they’re approved.
Their next scheduled meeting falls in September, though there’s no guarantee they’ll have a final vote on expansion during it.
