SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Two people are dead following a shooting in Skagit County.

Anacortes Police say that their officers were called to K Avenue at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10 after gunshots were heard in the area.

Two people were found dead at the scene, though it’s unclear if this was inside a residential building or outside a home. They’ve been identified as a 57-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man.

Anacortes Police believe the man shot the woman before fatally shooting himself. No one else inside the home was hurt.

Police say there is no threat to the public at this time.

Additional details will be released once investigators finish processing evidence.
