Young Blaine woman dies in crash on Mount Baker Highway

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A young woman from Blaine died in a suspected DUI crash on the Mount Baker Highway early Wednesday morning.

The State Patrol reports a car driven by 20-year-old Christopher A. Lundquistgust of Custer hit a guardrail near Marshall Hill Road east of Deming, spun around and hit another guardrail then rolled.

Eighteen year old Cybil Hatcher was killed in the crash just after midnight.

Troopers say drugs or alcohol were involved and charges are pending.
