WTA buses go fare free

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bus service in Whatcom County is free until further notice.

Whatcom Transportation Authority announced on social media Wednesday that buses, including fixed route and paratransit buses, will be fare free.

WTA says this will allow them to increase social distancing on buses and at pass outlets because they will not be selling passes or collecting fares on board.
