Whatcom County man arrested for sexual assault of child

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Whatcom County man is in custody after being accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child.

Court documents state that the victim reported the abuse to Bellingham Police in June.

The victim told investigators that for the past six years, 54-year-old Iran Ohumukini forced them to perform sexual acts several times a week.

Ohumukini is also accused of threatening to kill the victim if they ever told anyone.

He was arrested on Thursday, July 21st, and remains behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.
