BELLINGHAM, Wash -A new TV show on the Discovery Channel is putting Whatcom County front and center.

“Car Spotting” will premiere with six weekly episodes this summer.

The show features Blaine native and current Bellingham resident Carlos Becerra, his brother Pedro, and their friend Niko “the car savant” hunting for abandoned automotive relics from around the county, which they then restore and sell.

The team’s shop is in the former Pioneer Ford building on the Guide Meridian in Lynden.

Becerra says the show can expect anywhere from 800,000- 2,000,000 active viewers per week, based upon other Discovery Channel shows.
