OLYMPIA, Wash. — Women make up 51% of the U-S population, but a new study by WalletHub shows women are still getting the short end of the stick, and some states are worse than others.

WalletHub broke down, state by state, women’s social and economic well-being along with their health and safety.

Washington’s overall score put it at 14, with the ranking in health and safety dragging down the score the most.

When it comes to voting, our state made the top five for highest percentage of women voting.

Overall, Minnesota topped the list as the best state for women, while Louisiana is considered the worst.
