Upcoming meeting for Whatcom County invites public input on recreation

BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) Whatcom County is hosting a public hearing next week to get input on recreation needs around the community.

The Whatcom County Planning Commission is holding the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Dec. 14.

It will address future park, trail and overall recreation needs of the county and discuss its current progress on other projects.

The hearing is required to maintain funding programs from the state.

Community members are invited to give comments at the meeting or by email at PDS_Planning_Commission@co.whatcom.wa.us.

People can attend the meeting in-person at 5280 Northwest Dr. in Bellingham or virtually via Zoom.
