LYNDEN, Wash. — Two young Whatcom County residents were hurt in a single vehicle crash near Lynden early Friday.

State Patrol troopers believe drugs or alcohol were involved when a car driven by 19-year-old Yashleen Singh of Lynden went off the roadway near the intersection of Thiel and Abbot Roads at about 2:30 a.m.

The Audi hit a pole and then a parked tractor.

Both she and her 19-year-old male passenger from Blaine were transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
