BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A young driver from Bellingham and his passenger died in a fiery crash on I-5 Friday night.

The State Patrol reports 19-year-old Hundal S. Karnveer was driving fast and changing lanes on northbound I-5 near the Sunset exit just after 10 p.m.

His Audi collided with a car in the left lane, swerved off the road to the right and caught fire.

He and his passenger, 18-year-old Manbir Singh of Bellingham, died in the crash.

A seven-year-old girl in the other car was injured but two adults weren’t hurt.

Troopers say it’s unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
