Two men arrested after drive-by shooting in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Two men have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in the Barkley neighborhood earlier this week.

According to police reports, the victim told officers several shots were fired into her apartment on Studio Lane just before 11 p.m. Monday night.

Some of the bullets were fired close to where she had been sleeping.

The suspects, 22-year-olds Carlos Machado and Dylan Morris, tried to leave the area, but were tracked down by a Bellingham K-9.

Both face multiple charges, including an unlawful firearm possession charge for Morris.

They’re being held at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.
