State revokes Ferndale man’s nursing assistant credential

OLYMPIA, Wash. — The state Department of Health has revoked a Ferndale man’s certified nursing assistant credential for sexual contact with vulnerable adults.

55-year-old Willie Orlando Lawton was arrested on charges of 2nd-degree rape on an incapable victim and two counts of 4th-degree assault with sexual motivation while working at the San Juan Rehab Center in Anacortes.

Lawton’s Skagit County Superior Court trial has been continued until early next year.
