LYNDEN, Wash. – A Lynden insurance agency that’s covered local residents for almost 100 years is about to get a new name.

Snapper Shuler Kenner Insurance will become Brown and Brown on January 1st.

Brown and Brown is the fifth largest independent broker in the U.S.

It bought SSK in 2011 and the agency’s Rich Wilson says the name change will clear up any confusion among customers.

The company says its team and commitment to its customers will remain the same.
