Several agencies fighting fire near Lynden

Firefighters are working to contain a blaze near Wiser Lake.

North Whatcom Fire & Rescue Training Captain Kris Jorgensen tells KGMI they’re fighting an approximately 500′ x 500′ field fire between East Wiser Lake and East Pole Roads.

Jorgensen confirmed that no structures are currently threatened and no traffic in the area is being impacted.

Several agencies are on-site assisting North Whatcom Fire & Rescue including the DNR, Whatcom County Fire District 7, and the Lynden fire department.
